Many areas of our contry have been devistated by natural disasters.

More than a dozen deadly wildfires have burned across California, threatening residents, homes, and much more. If you’re looking for a way to support relief efforts, you can donate cash through the American Red Cross.

American Red Cross is accepting cash donations by phone at 1-800-HELP-NOW (435-7669) or donate $10 by texting the word REDCROSS (all caps, one word, no spaces) to 90999.  (Message and data rates apply)

There are many ways to help. Be sure to verrify your charity before you donate to make sure they are real. 

Also, Sunday, October 1 is day that will live in everyone’s memory. If you or a family member were affected by the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas, help and resources are available through the California Victim Compensation Board. The program covers funeral and burial costs, medical bills, counseling, lost wages and more. Information is available at 1-800-777-9229 or at victims.ca.gov
