Listen to your team news NOW.

The Dodgers went nuts on Monday

  • Joc Pederson 3-3, 2 HR (30), 5 RBI, 3 R
  • Chris Taylor 3-5, 2 HR (11), 2 RBI, 2 R
  • Matt Beaty 2-4, 1 HR (8), 3 RBI, 1 R, 1 SB
  • Corey Seager 2-5, 1 HR (13), 4 RBI, 2 R
  • Cody Bellinger 1-2, 1 HR (44), 3 BB
  • Max Muncy has 33 HR on the season

The Dodgers beat the Rockies 16-9. LA now has a record of 90-50 on the season (best in the National League) with an 18-game lead over second-place Arizona in the NL West. They have an incredible +224 run differential.

The Dodgers top minor league prospect made his Major League debut on Monday. Gavin Lux was drafted in the first-round (20th overall) in the 2016 draft out of high school. He was ranked as the 40th best minor league prospect by Baseball America. Lux played second base and went 2-for-3 while scoring three runs. (not a bad debut).

The WOW Play of the day

Christian Yelich (yes, he is posing nude)

stepped into the batter’s box in the bottom of the ninth with his team trailing the Astros 2-1 and Roberto Osuna on the mound. Yelich hit a 0-2 pitch deep to left-center field into the stands. I happened to be watching this game and it was a thing of beauty. The Astros ultimately came back to win the game 3-2, but Yelich did all he could do to give his team a chance to win the game.

In fact rumor has it - the Brewers have told him he can play nude if it will make hit more home runs!
