Was Play Calling Or Execution More To Blame In Falcons Loss To Seahawks?

Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael discussed some of the issues that plagued the Atlanta Falcons in their season opening 38-25 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

The duo’s discussion surrounded around the question was the Falcons loss on Sunday more due to play calling or execution.

“If you are going to be gutsy, if you are going to take chances, if you are going to try to put the pedal to the floor and all gas no brakes like Dan Quinn wants to do you got to execute the plays. Seattle did. Seattle took chances and it worked. The Falcons took chances and they didn’t,” said Bunker.

“I put it on everybody. I put it on the coordinators for not adjusting...and then you look at player wise just technique. I mean Oliver (Isaiah Oliver) he looked good when he got his hands on him and he looked like trash when he didn’t. And for the most part on the big plays he didn’t get his hands on people,” McMichael added.

Bunker and McMichael also discussed the improvement on the defensive line and specifically the pass rush.
